The Challenge
Frustrated after surgery, relying on the assistance of male nurses to get her bottoms up and down, she felt her dignity was impinged.
The Solution
Jody and her husband, Art, came up with an idea that enabled her to lower and pull up her pants where she could readily manage them completely without having to bend or compromise incisions. In February 2023, Jody united with long time friend, Sally Martinez, to take the initial idea and create a product they could sell. Together they established DigniTDevices™, LLC.

The Challenge
Her dear friend of over 20 years put her to the task of collaborating with her to establish a business to manufacture and sell personal care products and assistive devices to aid persons in maintaining their dignity, privacy and independence while carrying out basic daily living tasks.
The Solution
An entrepreneur at heart she put her research skills to work and was able to find a local manufacturer, Remedy Medical, that works with small, start-up companies. That initial collaboration lead to consultant, Renae Franz of LeanRAQA. The company recently collaborated with ProTech Design and Manufacturing and the John Howard Company.
